Development packages are bleeding-edge and more prone to bugs, whereas release packages are more stable.

Full Packages come with some libraries and demo applications, while minimal packages only come bundled with the bare essentials.

Note: When you update K2F, it will update to the next package that matches the current install, for example, a bleeding-edge 2.3.2 will update to 2.3.4, whereas a release for 2.3 will only update to 2.4 (or greater).

Adapters are CMS-specific plugins that load K2F as well as provide some control (such as debug mode, boot path etc).

Wordpress: Manage the plugin from Left Menu » Settings » K2F Settings.

Joomla: Manage extension from Extensions » Plugin Manager » System - K2F Adapter for Joomla (last page most probably).

Drupal: Manage extension from Modules » OTHER » K2F Adapter » Configure.
